Our Dojo

“A real Samurai gives all his time to the perfection of himself. This is why training is an endless process”. Jocho Yamamoto in “Hagakure” - The Secret Book of the Samurai, 1716.

At SANBOKYODAN DOJO we practice ZNRK IAIDO - KENJUTSU(kumitachi ) and SHINKAGERYU KORYU. We  follow the teaching of MATSUOKA Sensei 8th Dan Iaido and 7th Dan Kyoshi Kendo at Nagoya.

The dojo practice is supervised by Franck
CENGIZALP 5th Dan Iaido (Japan), ViCe-president of SHINKAGERYU Europe
and France.

Literally, San bo kyo dan means the THREE treasures association.

These three treasures are references to BOUDDHA, DHARMA (laws,
teaching), and SANGHA (community, disciples),
but also to the SWORD, ZAZEN and CALLIGRAPHY.

Sanbokyodans is a non-profit association founded by Franck (KAÏ HO)
Cengizalp to promote the practice of  sword
.
Sanbokyodan – Three Treasures – is affiliated to FFJDA/CNK. Franck
Cengizalp, 5th Dan Iaido (Japan), has the federal degree for teaching
Iaido (first session 2000), National  Arbitrator .

The aim of Sanbokyodan is to develop the practice of IAIDO-Kenjutsu
with a traditional approach, according to its historical roots, to
promote this practice with a curiosity for other traditional arts such
as calligraphy, Chi Gong, sumie.

Sanbokyodan Dojo provides two forms of IAIDO training : practice of
the federal school (SEITE IAI) and the traditional SHINKAGE RYU school
(as it is taught by Matsuoka Sensei 8th Dan).

The practice of the traditional school (RYUHA)  is conditioned by the student level and mainly his motivation for the JapanESE sword practice.
